"Mon Gars" Loophole x Marseille / Zach Chamberlin 5W's!

A new video piece by the legendary Zach Chamberlin just dropped via the San Francisco wheel co., Loophole wheels and we're talking a solid eight minutes of impeccably presented sincere skateboarding on and through the old streets of Marseille, France, featuring the perfect mix of some of the team, locals and visitors and friends from all over, joining forces and vibes on some of the country's oldest crusty spots.

So, "MON GARS IN MARSEILLE" is plenty to possibly wax lyrical about - but let's let the skating do the talking, and also the person who - once again - brillantly captured it all thanks to his trademark Sony VX-1000 and Super-8 wizardry: Zach was down to answer some of our questions indeed, regarding the process, the city and his current activity with Loophole and in general. You can find the resulting conversation in 5W's form, below!

Antti hero

Lucky should be considered those who can already claim knowing the name of Antti Heikkinen, Finland-based filmmaker under the "ASPHALT JAZZ CLUB" nick and corresponding Vimeo page, and also, himself, a skateboarding magician pairing up intuitive creativity with a discreet profile, notably scheduled as featured in the upcoming "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE 3" but whose approach on the plank you can already witness in other local edits more or less affiliated with Magenta - as he's been spending some time with those guys, at the pace of his personal travels throughout the years.

And so today, Antti strikes back with a new project: "FUN CITY", which you can already follow on Instagram and peep this first video from, here. On the menu: thirteen minutes packed with unique spots and prowess with, amidst plenty of locals on fire, just so happens to include a certain Clément Chouleur! Now, about how this all came about, here's what Antti himself had to say...

Malavega

The most resourceful of you might have seen the photos already in the latest print issue of, quite appropriately, Déjà Vu, but everyone else too has to know that the entire roster behind Parisian skateshop Vega (whose recent Malmö adventures we've presented recently, here, and who's currently collecting your used skate gear to send to Lebanon on location) recently visited Malaga for a wee bit. In order to see the pretty colors brought back as souvenirs via the corresponding photos by Clément Chouleur, one will have to look - or ask - for the mag in their local shop, but the moving pictures are now available online, under the form of this ten-minute edit by Léonard Berne and Marion Desquenne.

"NANTESLAJOLIE" / HY Skatebag / PREMIERE

The mighty fine, youthful roster of HY Skatebag, the French brand LIVE has already been featuring quite a few times upon the respective releases of video productions such as "PAR-HY" or "PLUS BELLE LA HY" (we even interviewed one of its C.E.O.'s, Paul Austinhere), is back on your screens y'all, and once again thanks to the filmmaking talents of Julien Dellion who just so happens to live in Nantes, France - and that's exactly where the whole plot takes place this time, for the entire duration of the seven minutes this new edit runs for.

Answered the call of the board, in addition to Paul himself: Alex Richard, P.J. ChapuisVictor CampilloFlorian MertenMatisse BancVictor Cascarigny and Fred Plocque-Santos aka. Yeah Le Yeah... But not just 'em:

"The original idea was to go and skate a city that's notoriously under the mainstream radar.

Julien Dellion lives in Nantes, so picking the destination was easy! And we even managed to get a Thibaud Fradin clip!" - Paul Austin
