Parking Lot Stardust

You may remember Netherlands-based filmer Ziggy Schaap's previous edit: "The End" that graced the almighty Interwebs last spring. Well, the end it wasn't, as it turned out that even wintertime wasn't enough to deter the man and his crew of friends from doing their thing: this new video, "No Service" was filmed just then, over the span of two months and with a modus operandi of being underground parking lot-themed. A project for which they really did some research regarding which ones not just in the Netherlands but also Belgium had the best utilizations possible to offer, as an attempt to cover as much slippery-slick (under-)ground as possible! The final output is a much more joyful watch than one might expect from the basic concept: the VX-1000 is excellent (explicitly influenced by the likes of Yoan Taillandier), the terrain gets worked in smart ways and in the end, "No Parking" is one more great testament to how the daily weather doesn't have to dictate how much motivation one should show!

Berzerk Dutch koala's

"The End" is the unlikely title of Ziggy Schaap's new edit straight from the Netherlands, horizons the average LIVE reader should be familiar with by now given the percentage of articles on this platform that have to do with the Pop guys! Although this time, the aesthetics are something else: crispy VX-1000 complete with pristine export settings and catchy colors (once the intro outlived). But fear not, as the weird moves and awkward spots (comprising some Berlin nugs) remain, all set to a soundtrack that wouldn't have felt out of place in the best Rare Skateboards-era Euro productions, whatever you think that might mean. Anyway, if this upbeat clip could suffice to initiate a trend of clean VX footage on YouTube, then that would for sure be something to give it credit for!

Par-Hy-sians!

Yesterday, we were presenting the Hy crew, while premiering, as a LIVE exclusive, their latest video offering, by Julien Dellion, with a soundtrack by Matias Elichabehere, filmed during a recent Paris visit. The edit now free to share, and you should show around. People should dig it!

"Par Hy" / PREMIERE

It was only a matter of time before a brand such as HySkateBag rose from the willpower of a Bordeaux skate crew somehow really interested in providing the world with quality, Paris-made skate pouches yes, but not just that: their new video "PAR_HY", by Julien Dellion, just premiered in the French capital and now, LIVE Skateboard Media is presenting it to you alongside a quick interview with co-founder Paul Austin.

The Dutch candle fetish!

So, someone will have to step forward and explain us the fascination our neighbors from the Netherlands seem to have developed for said "Tea lights"… Then again, their local street furniture does seem to require some feral waxing! Which has never stopped the Dutch scene from flourishing, since the 90's. This video from local media On The Roll showcases perfectly this vitality, with a varied casting traveling around Europe while also taming their local and yet abrasive surfaces. And, icing on the cake, young Pascal Moelaerts cast a general resemblance with Toby Shuall. Which could never be a bad thing!
