STREET FEET "Radio Sessions" Vol. 1 / PREMIERE

LIVE has been showcasing the works of Rob Mentov for quite the number of years now; the last time we caught up, the Canadian filmmaker was exploring new horizons - both geographically and mentally - documenting non-skateboarding around the world. So today, it is with great pleasure to announce that Rob is back with a vengeance, on his home grounds again and on wheels too, reviving the Street Feet video productions with a new series: "RADIO SESSIONS", the Hi-8/16mm testimony of the Toronto locals' skate days... Or should we say nights? For reasons that Rob himself was down to detail in-depth, just below, alongside a gallery of photos and stills!

Christie

No, not our N.Y.C. friends, but new ones that just so happen to operate on the same continent, just a bit further up North: that's Toronto and, if Jake Borchenko's new edit bears that title, it is because it was entirely filmed in the neighborhood of the homophonic public park: Christie Pits. Not a bad idea, visibly as this three-minute piece is packed to the brim with spots and classy stylings, all for a perfectly mastered handling of the traditional VX-1000 and Super 8 combo. We'll be keeping an eye on Jake's future works (thanks to Rob Mentov of "Street Feet" fame for the link up), and you probably should, too!

Mexican Medium

Medium Skate Mag - remember - we already introduced its two co-founders Will Jivcoff and Joel Watamaniuk to you a while back, around the time of their enterprise's earliest steps. Well close to two years later already, and despite Love Skateboards unfortunately being out of the equation by now, Medium looks like it's still going strong, still deeply rooted in Toronto but also now demonstrating the energy to export itself on the occasional skate vacation, which is just what they did here for "Jungle" - a new clip by Joel (still very much the VX-1000 fan) filmed in Mexico City, featuring skateboarding by Daniel Ravenal, Diego Brown, Felipe BartolomeJohnny PurcellScott BalkwillSkylar Kehr and Ty Beall. Everybody hucked their carcasses down some quite a few unfamiliar spots that look just as rugged as exotic. Check out the Medium website for more info!
