  1. "MIXTAPE VOL.3" / Stephen Buggica / PREMIERE

It certainly isn't the first time that on LIVE Skateboard Media we catch ourselves singing the praises of Florida as a hotbed for skateboarding talents - on either side of the lens, too. You might not know the name - yet - but you may be familiar with the series of full-length indie videos: "Shaqueefa OG", hitting hard and strong with a steady flow of "Mixtapes" (three volumes so far) and modern social media presence. That crew just never seems to stop and now, here is the author of the Shaqueefa mixtapes tracks one to three himself gifting us with Hopps and Theories rider Dustin Eggeling's part from his latest "Vol. 3" - also comprising some tasty Kevin Coakley clips - in addition to the following exchange of ideas.

  2. Water stream rock smashing fist

Remember Stephen Buggica? The independent filmmaker from Florida LIVE interviewed a little while back about his full-length project "MIXTAPE vol. 3", in the Shaqueefa series. At the time, he was already thinking of launching his own thing production-wise and that's exactly what he's been up to since, under the moniker Busted Mic. One can peep his two former clips here, and also this very new one: a brand new Jimmy Lannon part, only proving that the Floating Don is still way up there at taoist levels, even after years of setting consecutive bump-to-bar world records and repping Magenta on his local turf like one proud lion that would commute from prey to prey in switch stance more often than not.

  3. World War Three

Dead On Arrival perpetuates its tradition of a faultless series of video productions with "WORLD WAR THREE" - seven-and-a-half minutes packed with editing references aplenty (for those in the know) and, most crucially, some hard-hitting VX-1000, documenting urban prowess courtesy of the entire team. And as the credits roll too early, one can be delighted - but not surprised - that on the other side of the lens, the likes of Stephen BuggicaEric Nguyen and Ryan Flores were involved! Regarding the war, no one knows for certain yet, but as far as the battle goes, this edit is quite the undisputed victory...

  4. Retro-Future

D.O.A. is another name LIVE has brought to your attention before: also known as Dead On Arrival, the enterprise is ran by Steve Fletch, formerly of Northern Co. who eventually decided to move on to do his own thing. For their newest promo video, he attempted to "make the A Tribe Called Quest 'Scenario' video into a skate edit"; a description as exciting as the final result, very punchy and full to the brim of efficient skateboarding. Let's highlight the return of the great Kyle Cielencki and Eric Nguyen duo, in front of and behind the camera respectively, and that Stephen Buggica got involved as well, amongst others.

  5. Stay Static

Today, it's Josh Stewart and his fellow Theories of Atlantis Illuminati's turn to help fix the world's craving for street action via the high-quality (on all terms) upload of the New Jersey section from the indie cult classic "STATIC III", featuring two legends as the state's ambassadors: Mark Wetzel (also interviewed on LIVE a few eons back regarding his segment in the Traffic video "LOOK LEFT", here) and Steve Durante.

On a side note, now's probably the best time to (re-)discover "LOOK LEFT" in full (the recommended portion for your health), here!

  6. Wu Tex

Over the past months, LIVE hasn't been without reporting to you about the works of Eric Nguyen, the skilled and hyperactive VX-1000 enthusiast from Texas, Kyle Cielencki's skateboarding, or Steve Fletch's brand Dead On Arrival, an initiative founded on his past experience with Northern Co.. All folks who've been patient enough to recount their respective stories to us, and to you, in the links above.

Today, what the aforementioned folks have been cooking up was just revealed to be a new promo for the equally aforementioned Dead On Arrival (D.O.A. if you're into them catchy acronyms). On the menu: classical music, and some quite exquisite urban roller planking signed by the feet and general body languages of Chris Saint-HilaireKyle CielenckiChris JataJohn DevineKyle RemondinoAndrew Grabowski, Jimmy ChungP.J. Castellano and Ben Havran. Eric handled the editing, although he didn't film everything: the list of contributing filmers is quite lengthy (although that doesn't result in any visual inconsistencies here) and comprises some familiar names such as the one of Stephen Buggica, the man behind the Shaqueefa "Mixtape" videos, interviewed here.
