Yensi Lama

Around Midnight

Yoan Taillandier's visual craftsmanship and sharpest fish-eye skills than most is what you can thank for - amongst many other influential video pieces - the first "Minuit" video, as early as 2011 - the underground hit that shook the world, and made refined street skating presented well a focus in the whole Western skate world again, all the while itself being directly influenced by the minutiae of a sophisticated Japanese skate scene. Word on the street is that whoever it is that the relevancy of the aforementioned film may have flown over the head of at the time, due to being spiritually phagocitized by the hottest Californian trends and accustomed to a religion of wooden skatepark-based podcasts, is still trying their best to recreate that video and instill it with just as impactful long-term significancy to this day, and that's eight years later...

Anyway, even though Yoan, the filmer, never really left anywhere himself (as can be attested by his works for clothing brand Futur), this new edit displays the willpower to bring Minuit altogether back in full force, notably by the means of a new series of web clips this piece is the first installment in, so far; consisting in footage filmed from Paris to Italy, going through Marseille and exploring even the cuttiest spots, then consequently experienced by Pat HoblinJames ColemanYaje Popson, Logan Lewis, Yensi Lama and Evan Kinori - more European than ever for the most part, and even in broad daylight, much to our delight!

Marseille, le zoo!

Wait, those Marseille kids are popping, these days! Could they be border-line hyper-active? Well, maybe not… But they sure now how to make it look good and fun, right!?

"Tranquille, cousin!"

Shame on us! We had forgotten to share with you this production coming from the heart of Massilia, the oldest city in France, but not necessarily the first to be associated with skateboarding, which is a mistake (considering the history!) and one that is hopefully about to be righted as the new generation has been making more and more waves, while keeping it local at the same time! And from the hillside runs to the ledge spots, the local youth is getting reckless! And Marseille has slowly been turning into a more sought after destination, even attracting the Chosen One… And nope, we are not talking about that famous bowl. Yep, watch it: Marseille locs are waiting for you to show up!

Meanwhile, in Marseille…

Seems like they do spend more time skating than working! At least, the Unemployed dudes…

Fonky Family

You don't get much more "street" than the city of Marseille, and here is proof through this recent footage!

Postcard 4 / Bordeaux Marseille / PREMIERE

Masaki Ui, you certainly know him for his always punchy featurings in Magenta productions, and maybe also for his very own videos, also always on point… A talented individual, for sure! And this fourth episode of his Postcard series is only proving that point. It's all here: the homies, the spots, the streets shared in between two cities oh so different and oh so similar when you skate them. Apart from Marseille being rich in hills. We reassure you, nobody is shying away from that! A LIVE exclusive we are super proud of! #thestreetsaretalking

"Ray Barbee! Bah, voilààà!"

Ah, nope, this is not new part from the King of Step-Hops and the inventor of smoothitude on a board… Sorry. Still, this little edit, in between Paris and Marseille, is quite a nice watch, notably for those Marseille downhills spots that strangely rarely seen. Add a Joffrey Morel micro part, made of a few lines, and you are in for a motivational boost!

Parisii / XIV

Yep, Parisii is back in full force, this time to explore Paris XIVth arrondissement, and this time with reinforcement! The Magenta homies were in town to celebrate their fifth anniversary, and their skating always paralleled with that search for a good sesh and a good laugh, wherever the sidewalks may lead you to… It was only logical to team up in order to explore an often overlooked area of the city. Known for its Tour Montparnasse, a symbol for a bright future in 1973, and now one for all past architectural mistakes, the neighborhood can be way more than this piece of modernism now gone obsolete. So let you guided, or at least get inspired, by this second to last episode of Parisii!

You can find the whole project, here!

420-10=?

A little message from the Plus crew, this time on home turf, therefore in Paris, with the ultimate one time spot: the empty truck bed! Apart from that, they just keep messing with rollerbladers and longboarders, and that's not very nice…

Marseille Zoo!

Straight Outta Mars! The previous Marseille Zoo episodes were pretty tight, and this one looks like it will be a step up! One of the most "underground" cities in France is rising up, and it is a nice sight!

PLUS / Marseille / Premiere

The summer is young, and "the Roomies" are still migrating around Europe, this time posing their bags for a few days in Marseille, sharing sessions and unexpected pots with the locals. This city is rarely visited, somehow, and full of resources…
