Kyle Madden

Gatekeepin'

Just a handful of weeks after "KINK", skate filmmaker Kyle Madden is back with "GATE", a new edit filmed in San Francisco featuring some new heads here, but also some familiar (and more soon-to-be-familiar?) ones - such as, once again, Bobby Groves. Three minutes of H.D. footage only asking to hit your retinas, while Kyle in person recounts his knack for Bay Area-scented video titles.

"'GATE' is in reference towards San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge. I'm trying to keep the titles all S.F.-related - for example, 'KINK' is related to Kink Castle in the City, where the famous spot three-up-three-down is, as that building was once home to the eponymous adult film studios..." - Kyle Madden

Kinky S.F.

Five minutes of H.D. S.F. footage is exactly what Kyle Madden came up with with "KINK" (which completely falls in line with his footage contributions to the latest Science Skateboards video), featuring a variety of local underdogs including LIVE favorite Bobby Groves and a solid crew in general. Embarco as a skate Mecca is still alive in 2020 it seems, the styles are as varied as the rest of the spots and apparently it's not over yet, since Kyle assures us that he's constantly filming - so, expect more stuff on the way!

Groovy Science

Science Skateboards is Chris Morgan's company, launched in London back in 2006 and now relaunching in San Francisco, right now, a couple of years after the aforementioned owner's move to the City. From the bricks to the hills; a rough-to-rough transition that warrants a fresh website, an article in the latest, fifth-second issue of Skate Jawn, and the addition of three S.F. skaters: Harry Hafner, Bobby Groves and Josh Paz, to the team roster. A move that warrants this brand new ten-minute promo by itself, don't you reckon?

Also on the menu: clips of the British Joe Sivell and Josh Cox, visiting the hills and back alleys for lenses manipulated by Brett Nichols and Zach Chamberlin, amongst other brillant skate filmmakers.
