Torio, Torio...

Well of course, if one of the best parts from the best 2018 independent skate video only so many people really saw (and it should go without saying at this point how we mean the full DVD the Japanese crew behind Toriotoko dropped that very year) is now directly streamable online, and uploaded straight by the author, then we can only back it.

If you're new here - Toriotoko is the efficient, nocturnal crew conducted by the fantastic Mitsuko Toshiba who's mostly renowned for working during the day, filming at night, and rarely sleeping; and so, every ingredient is there at hand for quite the spicy cosmic salsa, one just about to sting your flank with its VX, clearly improvised maneuver, prowess and spot match-ups, and one final cut of raw black and white dip.

Last but not least, they also actually know how to Internet and so, without excess but maybe when it comes to unlisting their older montages from their YouTube channel; uncertainty has been established a habit and so, might as well subscribe!

Strush x Klasse Wrecks

When our favorite japanese skate wheel makers over at Strush Wheels (whose former productions, including the legendary "COLLECTIVE IMPROVISATION", can be browsed here) team up with Hong Kong-based record label Klasse Wrecks for the span of a collab and the accompanying web edit, what you get is this boiling hot potato of razor sharp-cut VX-1000 clips that are bound to kick you in the retinas, as well as put you in a trance that might technically be set to last for barely three minutes, but the energy of which will outlive said duration time all the way into your next sessions for sure.

Far East Coast

Strush Wheels is a Japanese wheel company with a great video legacy ("COLLECTIVE IMPROVISATION" and "CITYSCAPE" have to belong inside your DVD player at some point), and its very specific art direction as this new edit "N.Y.C. 2019" can confirm again. Shinya Nohara aka. PORI and Shinsuke Haruta aka. HAL are the two main heads here, visiting New York City and catching up with Connor Kammerer; as a result, the world gets this two-minute gem reflecting some impactful, stylish and original skateboarding, comparably to the lens of an impeccable VX-1000 and supervising by Ryuchi Tanaka, that's only willing to shine for you.

Still hungry for more Strush Wheels? Please feel free to revisit "ON THE RUN"!

And last but not least - one can still sign the online petition to preserve the legendary Brooklyn Banks skate spot in N.Y.C., here.

"Hal"!

Dat' Japanese mixtape ya need! Actually, nope, it doesn't matter where he's from, Shinsuke Haruta just got that ill street shit, that's all that matter… A compilation with all the ingredients you want!

G-JAP Unit!

Well, the week could not start better… If this Tightbooth edit does not make you want to cross the ocean in order to be able to stand aside them arguing with cops from over there while being clad in baggy camo, you are not really alive anymore…
