Possibly Maybe

Although the title of the video seems to imply many a thing hypothetical, what certainly isn't is the Brazilians' proneness to shred some of the roughest, most absurd-looking street terrain known to man with tricks that realistically shouldn't even get close to happening there due to the average urethane-to-crust ratio. Well that's exactly what you get in "Possibly Maybe", featuring a chunk of the Brazilian Converse roster (including Felipe Oliviera with some of his best footage to date), interpreted through the lens and mind of Hernando "Ñaño" Ramirez. Amongst its population of over twelve million, Ñaño is São Paulo's skateboarding pimp, whose creative genius tends to mark everything he touches; take a gander at his work with Asco Skateboarding to catch a picture of his mental landscape - and then the VHS will only make even more sense.

Os Selvagens da rua

Let's put this Easter Sunday to good use and ponder the old adage that states that, if skateboarding is all about having fun with your friends, if it ever gets serious, the Brazilians always win at it… Maybe because they have a better understanding of pleasure? Proof here in images, on the street side of things, far far away from future Olympian stadiums…

Felipe Alert!

Heading out to Latin America, now, with a fine selection of the Cons heads, and they sure as hell tackle it all in style, as those guys have gotten us used to! Let's salute our personal favorite Felipe Oliveira, that plays home, here, but mostly plays to his very own tune, as he always does…

Applied geometry?

Brazilian Victor Süssekind seems to operate at a different level of (altered?) consciousness, which allows him to skate, well, mountains! Off course, after that, urban furniture, even the most extreme one, might seem a bit dull…

Felipe alert!

Our coverage of Brazilian skateboarding would have put the idea in your head that we dig it spicy and diverse… And be reassured, it hasn't changed! But, let's just be honest, here, we do have our favorite, and it is Felipe Oliveira! This new edit from Cons Brazil should have more than a few of you siding with us on this one. It will also confirm how skateboarding can be practiced in many beautiful ways, wether we talk Kauê Cossa or Victor Süssekind… The ill shit, we tell ya!

Situation

Where our friend Murilo manages to get the permit to skate for three days only Praça Victor Civita, a privately owned space completely forbidden to any four wheelers, despite inviting shapes and forms… The whole thing also seem like a trap, but with the cream of Brazilian street skaters, they manage to make the best of their (short) time there!

Elevation

This should be the only thing you really have to watch this week! There, we said it. Why? Well, because that Victor dude is on another level of understanding of his board than most, and he can therfore make you shiver, sweat and burst out laughing with one lipslide… Oh, and Felipe Oliveira shakes the ledge game hard with one body motion.
