Kirill Korobkov, Russia's skate ambassador most notably via Absurd Skateboards when he isn't torn between trips, projects and photo exhibitions in electrical transformers, just sent us this e-postcard of a video from a place unlike any other, rock bottom itself which just so happens to be the original concept:
"We had been joking around with the quote "skateboarding is a long way to the bottom" for a few years; and then we eventually found out that there is an actual Russian city called Dno (which literally translates to "bottom" in the Russian language), so we decided to give it a visit. It was a mix of satire, wordplay and experimental skateboarding. Dno turned out to be a very small city; it was very bad for skateboarding, but we tried to get the most of it. You have to be at the very bottom to consider what we skated to be skate spots. " - Kirill Korobkov
Featuring skateboarding by Gosha Konyshev, Pasha Kuznetsov and Dilip Kharel.
Documented by Barabaka, with Mikas behind some of the filming.
The bottom line is as actual as it gets here.
