Let's rock!

We already warned you whilst presenting "SUGUS": "GRRRND ZERO" is the new project by Julien Paccard, already the author of "COLOR FOOLS" which LIVE broadcasted half a decade ago, no less. Now, we're talking about an audiovisual production in the most literal sense of the term as in addition to the skate footage, the soundtrack is also home-made by Tommy Buder, and the multimedia aspect of the whole deal also takes a new dimension in how the focus is over the patient documentation of the textures skateboarders use and abuse, over an emphasis on individual prowess with little room for context. In every clip (because yes, this is a series), everybody just skates together - with the type of surface glided over as one common denominator.

Today, we're featuring "ROCK", the clip with an emphasis on, well, stone textures. In between many a performer, the wisest of watchers will instantly recognize Dino Coce, whose part in "TABULA RASA" LIVE presented here a few weeks back - DVD's are still available - beanplanting around Berlin. But Julien has been dropping some others too - respectively dedicated to mosaic, wood and marble spots - and is about to release more on his personal website, daily, throughout this whole week. So keep your eyes peeled!

Luc Boimond's tip: "Boobie Trap"!

"[…] A NYC edit by Guillaume Celian and the Fribourg heads. Real good stuff. I am a big Jérôme fan, hahaha… Almost as much as of Hjalte and Bobby!" And, yeah, this American trip from the Swiss crew was a success in both gathering dope lines and camo shopping…

OG ZOOO

The beauty of scene videos is that they can pretty much get away with anything… Without any need for being too serious, even if everybody goes hard for it. And the OG 2000 heads, as they call themselves, take their skating, and their fun seriously! Yes, you are about to get hit by a serious dose of what is happening in Geneva and around, amongst the young, the not so young anymore and mainly the young homies… This includes a strike of genius: the "rasta part", which, if you listen to us, should replace the "slams section" around the world from now on! Oh, and if you wonder why and how Luc Boimond and crew have developed such a passion for Zinedine Zidane, to the point of him being the real star of OG ZOOO, well, we have no clue for you…

This came out as a LIVE exclusive for Halloween, and it is now out for all you to enjoy!

Spiral Tribe / Galerie

Tomorrow, we will present you, as a Live exclusive, a new full length from Switzerland, Spiral Tribe, a 242 skateboards and Redline co-production… Two of the main actors in the country joined forces to compile an hour of the Swiss skating we've grown to like: tech and clean. Prepare yourself to meet the new Helvetian generation, and to also be reminded that the older dogs are still ripping! Oh, and and if you find your self scratching your head at some of the photo in this slide show, be warned that Spiral Tribe might have the best intro kit we have seen in a skate video in, well, in a really long time!
