Spicy Internship

The Unemployed clique from the South of France are back and, yet again, make their own namesake lie via one more instance of video proof of their incessant activity. What we are talking about today is a trip to Morrocco with Matisse BancNassim LachhabEtienne GrosFlorent TourdreRomain "Romz" PopotBrian Bunting and Pierre Pauselli; those last two volunteered for documentation duty, and everybody skated with the locals. Nine minutes of clean H.D. footage that just roll by like that.

UNEMPLOYED / "Trial Period" / GALLERY

Our favorite self-proclaimed Unemployed people actually run a griptape company from Marseille, France, and just put out a new edit: "TRIAL PERIOD", as though to showcase a willpower to make their own designation lie. They are indeed super productive, with still plenty in the works; as far as recent productions, one might remember "AVANCE L'ARRIERE". This new edit is about fifteen minutes long yet will leave you wanting for more, as the (trip) footage will cocoon you in a world of perfect spots of all kinds like the South of France altogether has to offer: Marseille, Lyon and the general region, although they did go to Paris for some tech prowess.

Among the featured skaters are Victor Campillo, Nassim Lachhab, Matisse Banc and many more; watch the video on this page, and take a gander at the photo gallery above that Brian Bunting was kind enough to contribute, just so we could present it to you.

UNEMPLOYED / "Avance l'Arrière" / PREMIERE

The jobless (really?) accomplices of d'Unemployed Skate Co., more usually specialized in the production of colorful grip tape, recently went off on a tangent in the general direction of Algeria, a destination just as exotic as their art direction which in turn led them to meet new souls (most often intrigued by this breath of fresh air from the North, on wheels), and touch practically unskated spots. Despite being under supervision the whole time, they still managed to sneak two broken VX's into the country then leave it with full tapes! Their new edit is called "Avance L'arrière", a title Brian Bunting of Unemployed was happy to explain below, besides many more things because no, he didn't escape the 5W's treatment!

Hellgeria

The web release of Hellgeria, a tour edit in Algeria featuring the Unemployed roster, is just around the corner now. As a sign of warning, the guys behind the aforementioned griptape brand (sticking to the French scene remarkably well) are just now sharing this trailer with us; a summary of the epileptic chaos their journey was, which will for sure make a few of you wonder what exactly is to come, and leave you inspired to see more - not just talking skating!

Meanwhile, in Marseille…

… Spring is here, and those lazy ass skateboarders at Unemployed have all the time in the world to make the best out of it! Leading by example!?

Jusqu'à la mort!

After Nyjah's new opus, yesterday, we knew you would need something to help you get back to reality, one where spots are very hard to skate, and not necessarily with drones surrounding them… You're in luck, the Demain skate co heads just put out news from Marseille, and what they have to show surely does look a lot like wherever you are!

Souples!

Remember how we have been telling you about some hyper-activity happening recently in Marseille? Well, this edit just confirms it, via the BMG crew, including Victor Campillo whose name you keep seeing here… But the homies are shredding too, fear not!

"Tranquille, cousin!"

Shame on us! We had forgotten to share with you this production coming from the heart of Massilia, the oldest city in France, but not necessarily the first to be associated with skateboarding, which is a mistake (considering the history!) and one that is hopefully about to be righted as the new generation has been making more and more waves, while keeping it local at the same time! And from the hillside runs to the ledge spots, the local youth is getting reckless! And Marseille has slowly been turning into a more sought after destination, even attracting the Chosen One… And nope, we are not talking about that famous bowl. Yep, watch it: Marseille locs are waiting for you to show up!

Tranquille…

The Unemployed homies are back with a more bucolic version of their beloved Marseille (no street violence, this time…) and a few famous guests, including Sean Pablo in full nod to Aaron Suski, and even Jake Johnson, once again mastering an impossible trick: the dreaded slappy nosegrind. Yep, Marseille is about that street stuff, we tell ya!

Chômistes

The Marseille homies of Unemployed puts us right back into the vacation mood, with their recent trip to Barcelona. Not sure how much rest they did get, though. Not so much it appears, from all the ripping we can see them doing here! Good stuff, we tell you!

For the brothers

With everything coming out of Marseille these days, one could states that the new generation has finally admitted that their city will never be one known for its plaza, but is rather a gold mine for hard to skate little gems scattered around, as proves this nice edit, dedicated to a friend gone too early…

Fonky Family

You don't get much more "street" than the city of Marseille, and here is proof through this recent footage!
