Mike Arnold

Moscow Drift

The Atlantic Drift saga now lives onto its tenth chapter with this new installment in which Moscow turns out to be the playing fields. The featured skateboarders make for quite the all-star roster as the project's timeline is shared by the resourceful, varied likes of Chris Jones, Max Palmer, Nick Jensen or Nik Stain; although, the true M.V.P. here has to be the seemingly invincible Tom Knox whose skating really proves to display a savant reading of the urban architecture, absurdly well-refined technical sorcery even in environments so unpractical they become straight up hostile, and finesse as the capital cherry atop of the cake.

Behind the lens and in the editing room: again Jacob Harris, one of the most important skate videographers of the last decade ("Eleventh Hour", "Vase"). What can go wrong?

Arnold alert!

Yep, that Mike… Because we live in a time where you mention a Mike, you mean him! And that Mike as seen by Jacob, you know you're good! Well, you know those two are good, great even… And no surprise here: Mike Arnold produces a part no one else could come up with, while never falling into the depths of circus tricks, all captured by a Mister Harris at the height of his work. Those two even manage to finally complete a quest Chris Pulman started many moons ago, I.E. finding the London alley way combining both the perfect gap length and the imperfect enough paving to allow the definitive crack nollie!

Atlantic Drift alert!

Let's head to Athens, with the whole gang in full force, even if once again, it is Mike Arnold that just displays his own magic whatever the spot might be… He really is in his own bubble, for our collective pleasure!

Can't stop!

As always, they got it right, at Butter Goods! Even in Barcelona, they manage to renew the streets they explore, and even the beyond rinsed spots… All through lines, and with class, from the good ol' Morgan Campbell to the seemingly relentless Philly Santosuosso… Nothing seems to get in his way!

UK stylez

As Palace just gave us all a master class on Londonian skateboarding past and present, it is a relatively recent resident that gives us here his very own take on the whole thing, and from beginning to the end, you can spot his Bristol origins, in the way he skates in the tech yet powerful manner his city has been renown for. Really great stuff, we tell you!

kings of hip(-pies)

Where one takes the simplest daily pleasures of skateboarding, mini-ramping and, furthermore, the good ol' hippie jump, to turn it into its very own category of performance, reaching Olympic –yet, actually creative– levels… Skateboarding is a beautiful thing, especially when it's done by dudes like the Atlantic Drift crew. Seriously…

Lloyds call

Filming a full part that is worth something on a spot that is known as a classic one after being sessioned for a few decades is no small feat… Mike Arnold definitely is not your average Joe, as he demonstrates here! With an amazing nod/ode to the Bristol plaza that has been skated "forever" now, with an edit on the cutting edge of "now", while keeping the previous generations heritage in mind. This is going to be a classic, also. Mark those words.

A brave new world…

Where, in 2017, the skateboarding world dives even deeper into the 90's revival thing, by reaching the disputable territories of, well, Tribal House… But with the excellent Josh Roberts behind the lens, and the equally talented crew of Butter Goods in front of it, it works! Really. Really works. One will note a brilliant Ben Gore, here, as well as the arrival of the ever surprising Mike Arnold… Yep, this rules.

Drifters

In case you would have been grounded all last week, and/or deprived of an internet connection, we'll save you some time, here: This new edit by Jacob Harris is the one and only thing you should watch (and re-watch), to catch up on that week, but mainly to fill up on beautiful skating full of ideas put together in an actually original way…

Classic spot!

Where one of the most famous London spot gets a new breath of life, and a handful of lines nobody seems to have spotted before… Bet, you did not see that one coming… Bet you already knew Jacob Harris was damn good at what he does!

Jacob Fucking Harris!

Be warned, this is a small masterpiece! Jake Harris is back with an edit that should stand the test of time, and for good reasons only… Sure, all Isle is here, and the guest are also top notch… But, mainly, the filmmaking talents of Jacob reach here a new level…
