The newest addition to Magenta's steadily developing roster of professional athletes-with-a-plan is from Australia and, actually, no other than Casey Foley, very closely monitored on the www for a while now by everyone in-the-know. His model already hit most specialized shops worldwide, but it's exclusively in Adelaide that this pristine edit was shot in order to explain why. We're talking two minutes and thirty seconds of Sony VX-1000 as manipulated by Jimmy Barry then orchestrated by Léo Valls - whose work in and with Bordeaux, on a side note, just keeps on gaining more visibility.
Magenta Skateboards audiovisually announces the all-Australian inclusion of both Casey Foley and Morgan Campbell amongst their ranks by the means of one more gem by Josh Roberts, of "DOMINGO" video series fame, here handling camera and editing duties. Everything was filmed in Melbourne over the course of several two-hour sessions, as the local lockdown regulations would allow, and - in spite of such a knackered context - together with some more friendly blokes.
The legacy of video productions courtesy of Australian brand Butter Goods only leads one to expect la crème de la crème with every new edit of theirs and this one: "EXPANSIONS", holds up to our fanciest expectations in terms of quality and then some - again. This time, Quentin Guthrie and Ethan de Lacy are the pilots of the Sony VX-1000 (in between the capturing of analog atmosphere shots that eventually complement the skating very well), Italy is where it all went down, and one is granted the delight of lots of new Casey Foley footage, most notably; that's in between the likes of the ever-so-efficient Ben Gore and Philly Santosuosso, and even a pristine-looking Morgan Campbell, twenty-one years after Misled Youth!
At Butter Goods, they do things proper, we know it, and if you had that this edit is a sort of Best-Of remixed by Josh Roberts, we already real street lines will be queen, and us viewers fulfilled!
Kiwis meet roastbeefs would be the least politically (and technically, even) correct possible, but oh-so-(anti-)gastronomic alternative title for this new amazing web clip from our Australian friends over at Buttergoods, who recently had a lot on their plate as they went to the UK and all they came back with was this not-lousy-whatsoever "Spoons": an impeccable edit of raw street skating bound to deliver enough weight to quench even the worst brick craving. Even the locals get to shine, the VX work is masterful and the editing flows super well, interestingly reminiscinent of another brand from Australia, the renowned Pass-Port. I guess you guys just might have good taste in general down under!
As always, they got it right, at Butter Goods! Even in Barcelona, they manage to renew the streets they explore, and even the beyond rinsed spots… All through lines, and with class, from the good ol' Morgan Campbell to the seemingly relentless Philly Santosuosso… Nothing seems to get in his way!
Well, what a way to kickstart the week, with a great video coming straight outta the Brit capitol, and a rather perfect casting, including most notably our beloved Dom Henry, who's on fire, here!
Where, in 2017, the skateboarding world dives even deeper into the 90's revival thing, by reaching the disputable territories of, well, Tribal House… But with the excellent Josh Roberts behind the lens, and the equally talented crew of Butter Goods in front of it, it works! Really. Really works. One will note a brilliant Ben Gore, here, as well as the arrival of the ever surprising Mike Arnold… Yep, this rules.
What did you expect, when two of the most "street" Australian brands (The 4 and Uno) get together? Well, some street styling at its best! And Harry Clark, in one line, reminds us why each time he pops up on our glowing screens it matters!
They have it in their blood, at Butter Goods, no doubt! Every single one of their edits is on point, just as the team… This one is in the same vein, with a Ben Gore killing it softly as usual, and a Philly Santosuosso capable of transforming Barcelona in just a couple occurrences of his always on point pop!
