Ty Beall

Full Loophole!

This is not our first time praising it, or those guys' output in general but finally, today, we're here: the VX full-length of the year, by Zach Chamberlin for Loophole Wheels: "NEW DOORS HAVE OPENED" is up in its entirety for everyone to stream on the sextuple V, and it's packed with unique spots, styles somehow flexible enough for those, funky maneuvers, San Francisco vibes and postmodern lines. Of course, the production itself is impeccable, truly honoring the legacy of the best, most classic S.F. videos all the while cultivating an originality of its own - because Zach. If this doesn't get you hyped for your next session or maybe twelve, then it's surely because you're missing the zines, wheels and various other goodies meant to accompany such a great piece of work, which you can check out here.

Mexican Medium

Medium Skate Mag - remember - we already introduced its two co-founders Will Jivcoff and Joel Watamaniuk to you a while back, around the time of their enterprise's earliest steps. Well close to two years later already, and despite Love Skateboards unfortunately being out of the equation by now, Medium looks like it's still going strong, still deeply rooted in Toronto but also now demonstrating the energy to export itself on the occasional skate vacation, which is just what they did here for "Jungle" - a new clip by Joel (still very much the VX-1000 fan) filmed in Mexico City, featuring skateboarding by Daniel Ravenal, Diego Brown, Felipe Bartolome, Johnny Purcell, Scott Balkwill, Skylar Kehr and Ty Beall. Everybody hucked their carcasses down some quite a few unfamiliar spots that look just as rugged as exotic. Check out the Medium website for more info!

For Fiddy

Bust Crew is half a clothing brand (the audiovisual offerings of which LIVE has presented to you quite a few times before), half - and foremost - a crew of friends who make skate videos - nothing that would really be anything out of the ordinary if said people didn't comprise the likes of Ty Beall, Jon Rowe, Gilbert Crockett, Pat Burke, Cory Bittle, Caleb McNeely, Daniel Ravenal and Will Rosenstock - at least for the occasion of this new edit. As its title suggests, "4FIDDY" is the group's contribution to "FIDDY", a community video initiative launched by East Coast skate magazine Skate Jawn, upon the release of its fiftieth edition. The eventual, resulting full production has similarities to TransWorld's "Cinematographer Project[(s)]", just marinated in tomato sauce and mozzarella melt, and with a dry aftertaste of thick local crust.

Scum of the hills

The guys from Scumco and Sons came out of the East Coast to enjoy a trip to San Francisco. They take the opportunity to remind us that there are many ways to skate SF beyond what we usually see. From butchering huge sets of stairs, or engaged wallrides, to tech grinds and manuals in addition to the famous hill bombs, everything goes!

Tuff enuff!

Apart from what looks like a total absence of any sense of claustrophobia, no matter how tight the non-spot might be, what really characterize Ty Beal's skating is the overall manlyness… No, he does not skate like a boy, oh no… And it's a beautiful thing to watch. And if you want more, head over there!

Bust alert!

Well, that is one hell of a good day for fans of rough spots! The Bust Crew are on it, teaming up with the Venue homies, so this is a heavy dose of rarely seen and most likely unskatable street furniture…

Charles' tip: Ty Beall!

"Or how to keep the title of the video accurate, in the best possible way!" Ty Beall sure loves his Brick

Tasty bite!

The kind of edit you can only love, to a tee! Then again, at Scumco & Sons, they've had us used to such standards… Including some Kyle Nicholson in there. Just great, we tell ya!

Ty calls home…

A guy that always has a nollie trick ready to pop, even on disjointed red brick grounds, will always have a special spot in out heart! Plus, he keeps cranking up that kind of parts, on the regular… This is an excerpt from the local video, ET.

Raw Richmond

As we already know, they like it rough at Bust Crew, and this compilation of (sometimes already seen) recent footage just confirms that. Always a good boost before the week-end!

Who is the man?

One say that the main A-Street full-length heads skate in the same vein, while each spices the spots –always raw, the spots– his own way, and Ty Beall takes a "so good it might hurt" approach to it all, while stirring away from the straight stunt. Plus, if even security guards are down…

Powerhouse

Perfect mix of a sesh with buddies and big tricks caught on pixels via a phone, once again! A special nod to Na-kel, though… He's got the power!
