Felipe Bartolome

Mexican Medium

Medium Skate Mag - remember - we already introduced its two co-founders Will Jivcoff and Joel Watamaniuk to you a while back, around the time of their enterprise's earliest steps. Well close to two years later already, and despite Love Skateboards unfortunately being out of the equation by now, Medium looks like it's still going strong, still deeply rooted in Toronto but also now demonstrating the energy to export itself on the occasional skate vacation, which is just what they did here for "Jungle" - a new clip by Joel (still very much the VX-1000 fan) filmed in Mexico City, featuring skateboarding by Daniel Ravenal, Diego Brown, Felipe Bartolome, Johnny Purcell, Scott Balkwill, Skylar Kehr and Ty Beall. Everybody hucked their carcasses down some quite a few unfamiliar spots that look just as rugged as exotic. Check out the Medium website for more info!

Seoul Hills

Today, in my humble opinion, the converse team has one of the most beautiful and most marked identity of what the current skate scene proposes us. Each new video is a real pleasure for the eyes. "Uphill" filmed by James Cruickshank in the sublime cityscapes of Seoul and its surroundings is not lacking. But this time, we can fully appriciate Juan Virues in Olympic form that completes perfectly this Picture.

Fresh.

This will be the breath of fresh air that is always needed to start the week! James Craven follow through on his series of videos for Grey dedicated to the real adventure of hunting for spots where there really should not be any, and if they were, they would most likely not be skatable… All this documented in a style that is very much his own. And what destination would fit all this better than Iceland? Do put your muffler on to watch this, seriously.

Spectaacular!

Carhartt W.I.P. gathered one heavy crew for Lentiicular, a collecti(i)on of clips filmed over the span of three years between New York, Paris, Madrid and Lisbon. Roger Gonzales' video work is simply beautiful and the cast only makes it more incredible, with a great mix of styles such as those of Andrew Wilson, Remy Taveira, Tolia Titaev, Felipe Bartolomé, Joseph Biais, Taylor Caruso and even Chris Milic. But above all, finally we get to enjoy a real part from Roman Gonzales who as usual never fails at getting creative, gracious and technical.

Five stars trip

Converse reveals the One Star World Tour 2018, sixteen days of traveling through the United States, Paris and London with the team that we like so much. And for this year’s edition, it looks like it’s the young skaters (European for some) in the spotlight with a Felipe Bartolome on fire and a breathtaking Kaue Cossa. All this announces only good things for the future.

Gimme five!

"Look, ma', no hand!" Oh wait, yes hand, yes hands actually, and yes feet too… All in good spirits too, as always, when we speak about  Romain Batard!

Euro Giddy!

If you ever wonder who's is really on one in French skateboarding at the moment, the best response we could offer you would be the keys to hack Romain Batard's hard-drives… They all here: Parisians, non-Parisians, tourists, visitors and dabblers! We will set aside the Taveira case, here, as he steals the show here –as in every other skate edit these days– to highlight Felipe Bartolome that appears here with no more mane and in great form!

Tav' alert!

So, the actual idea that Remy Taveira might fucking talented on a skateboard comes as no scoop, that's for sure… But this Guillaume Perimony project for Carhartt WIP raises the bar quite high in the "Great part form Remy" category! And, for this one he's got a supporting cast that adds up seriously, as nobody seems into staying in the shadows. Let's notably note the Classiest Australian in the World, Josh Pall. Yep, this is very sick and perfect to kick off the week-end!

A.E.I.U.O part 2

Our very own Augustin is back with a sick edit, filmed from Berlin to Copenhagen, but mainly around Paris, with one hell of a casting… You gonna dig it, guaranteed!

Points of view

Now that should allow for a great Sunday start: two ways to look at one project: the exploration by Mauro Caruso of a quasi ghost town of Sicily, that seems more of a strange artistico-architectural project than a place to live, after an earthquake in 1968. Some (warm) fresh air through the lens of Ludo Azemar first, then as compiled by Mauro himself. A Mauro that keeps it tech and flawless on the worst surfaces possible, helped by a Felipe Bartolomé that seem to surprise us every time, whatever the spot might be!

Bleu citron

The good people of A Brief Glance were recently showing around the Cons heads, confirming the many talents of young Felipe Bartolome. Oh, and don't be fooled by the early credits, you would be missing on some great Taveira action!

MNC TECH!

Where Enrique Lorenzo reminds us all, with proofs to spare, of a time where Menace was not yet a myth, but a group of guys that did skate together, and therefore you could meet at spots… This is exactly what happened to him back then. And us to realize that Enrique is amongst those few Spanish skaters that marked the history of worldwide skateboarding, with their sheer motivation to get around and an often light years ahead technique. Yes, this new project from Louw, Enrique's brand, has a bit for everybody!
