Magenta "Balade" / Meeting... Vivien Feil!

Finally on your screens, for you to watch no sooner than right now, right here: the new Magenta full-length, "Balade", prominently filmed in the United States of America but not exclusively. The resulting mix is a twenty-minute long upbeat edit - perfect to watch before skating - that was put together pretty spontaneously, actually. You know how LIVE works by now: the opportunity was too great not to try and ask the busy Vivien Feil (one of the founding fathers of the brand, besides offspring duties of a more organic type) what's up and surprise, he did manage to find the time to come through with answers aplenty for you to absorb alongside the video, making for a solid package we are stoked to present you today!

PREMIERE / Danny Fuenzalida / GREY AREA "Neverwhere" / Kuba Kaczmarczyk / INTERVIEW

Kuba Kaczmarczyk is the epitome of your ideal local O.G. head: forty-two years strong, he's been spending half of those sweating it behind the lens, documenting uprising regional talent throughout the generations and supporting the scene in his home country of Poland by many a means - all the while being caught up in work tasks aplenty, family life and the whole adult realm. His previous full-length "Grey Area" was an underground hit a few years ago, packed to the brim with unique aesthetics and raw Polish street skateboarding; its recent sequel, "Neverwhere", only carries its predecessor's torch to higher levels as it successfully perpetuates that identity, throws new faces into the mix and takes the whole concept to a new stage. It even comes packaged with an ounce of sunshine as, as though to boost everybody's serotonin levels, plenty of Miami footage ended up finding its way onto Kuba's timeline, including a whole, highly improbable, brand new Danny Fuenzalida section! LIVE Skateboard Media is stoked to present it to you today, along with the following words from the author himself he was even kind enough to deliver to us - to you.

D.O.A. "Winter 1997" Promo / PREMIERE

Modern enthusiasm around a short-lived clothing brand from the mid-nineties surely could appeal to many a nostalgic geezer or youthful wannabe these days, except this is Steve's board brand this new web edit is a promo for. A longtime fan of the original FIT "Industry" section from 411VM, the late institution of a skate video magazine (pre-Internet days...), Steve is going all the way in with a recreation of said clip accompanied by a FIT-inspired line of D.O.A. product (with Pat Washington as a living common denominator). Two decades later, the wheels have turned! Here's what Steve had to tell us about the whole process.

Won’t be dead on arrival

The first Dead On Arrival board series is finally available. We even have a small teaser (starring a couple familiar faces) for their full length video coming this fall. And at first glance the style is neat, the tricks are made with a disconcerting ease. Its a bit weird to say that in the modst of summer, but I now can’t wait for fall.

G.

Where Jimmy Lannon reclaims his "G" status in MaGenta, in one line consisting of ollieing up four steps to powersliding on all wheels, to then frontside nosesliding off one step. Cause he got it, just like that.
