Masaki Ui

Ba-Singha!

Quentin Delebecque - aka. Mr. Singha on the Instagrams and YouTubes - just dropped a smash hit with "LES ZINVAHISSEURS", just short of ten minutes of Parisian VX-1000 brimming with brillance, but also humor. The roster is as colorful as it gets, with plenty of unique profiles you wouldn't expect to ever share a timeline yet just so happen to do it so well; it notably comprises Elson Patrick and Auguste Fenez (the same duo behind "JARDIN D'HIVER"), Tyrone O'Hanrahan does not seem to mind Léo Spartacus' or Paul Gallelli's company whatsoever, and Masaki Ui goes in with what's got to be the crooked bonk of the year - complete with crazy outraged pedestrians.

LIVE can only encourage you - again - to look into Quentin's YouTube channel as it's chockful of quality productions, including this great edit of Lille O.G.: Olivier "Tavu" Ente (as of today, strong of a grand total of fifty views; make sure to also check out Tavu's Instagram feed), or "CUSTOM", Quentin's former video - which we somehow managed to miss sharing around the time of its release last winter, but to this day remains well worth your time.

PREMIERE / "Brotherhood" / Max Guyot / INTERVIEW

The last time LIVE presented one of Maxime Guyot's skate video works was back in 2016: he had then just published the second episode in his web series, "NCY Brotherhood". A "NCY" and not the most common "NYC" that stands for Nancy, France - the ancient capital of the Duchy of Lorraine, way prior to being the one of American fashion. Since then, Max hasn't been sleeping nor slipping and today, he's back with no less than a full-length video: "Brotherhood" (now a general concept) consists in exactly twenty minutes of urban skateboarding, coming in three slices: the first two are dedicated to the underrepresented Nancy locals and scene, and then the last one has a taste of Paris, foreign lands represented by quite the amount of Magenta heads. The eventual result is a little gem of an independent video, much in the vein of some of the best French classics of the genre and featuring rare styles, meticulous editing and intense VX-1000 swordsmanship. Which is obviously synonymous with many a question, so we logically caught up with Max himself for an interrogation he promptly gave in for, very much under the influence of our trust serums and various variations on the Stockholm syndrome.

"The Stack" / Northern Co. in Paris / PREMIERE

In the desperate effort to taste new grounds, some of the most savory cuisine the old continent has to offer - ranging from every almond chocolate croissant one can cram into a pocket to the most exotic cheap street pizza - and endless cruises around the skate Mecca of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, Northern Co. team riders Jesse NarvaezJameel Douglas and Tobin Valverde hopped on a plane (or two) to Paris last summer and stacked many a thing up to the ceiling - including clips!

Today, LIVE Skateboard Media is presenting this exclusive montage of some of what went down... Stay tuned with @northernco and @liveskateboardmedia for more news!

Magenta "Balade" / Meeting... Vivien Feil!

Finally on your screens, for you to watch no sooner than right now, right here: the new Magenta full-length, "Balade", prominently filmed in the United States of America but not exclusively. The resulting mix is a twenty-minute long upbeat edit - perfect to watch before skating - that was put together pretty spontaneously, actually. You know how LIVE works by now: the opportunity was too great not to try and ask the busy Vivien Feil (one of the founding fathers of the brand, besides offspring duties of a more organic type) what's up and surprise, he did manage to find the time to come through with answers aplenty for you to absorb alongside the video, making for a solid package we are stoked to present you today!

Trippin'…

The endless journey of the good friends of Push Periodical made a stop recently in Paris, before heading towards Athens… You guessed that the crew did not waste too much time on famous spots, and did explore the back alleys and even the underbelly of both cities… And this is where Masaki Ui steals the show when it comes to "underground" spots!

Marseille, le zoo!

Wait, those Marseille kids are popping, these days! Could they be border-line hyper-active? Well, maybe not… But they sure now how to make it look good and fun, right!?

Euro Giddy!

If you ever wonder who's is really on one in French skateboarding at the moment, the best response we could offer you would be the keys to hack Romain Batard's hard-drives… They all here: Parisians, non-Parisians, tourists, visitors and dabblers! We will set aside the Taveira case, here, as he steals the show here –as in every other skate edit these days– to highlight Felipe Bartolome that appears here with no more mane and in great form!

Mare Nostrum

Let's head out South with the Magenta heads! And what a more suiting destination for the crew (here in full effect!) than Marseille? A gold mine of non-spots located hillside for the most part that once were neglected even by the locals and are now way more acceptable and therefore in use… Off course, Ben Gore would feel right at home, no matter how steep the incline might get, but Masaki Ui also get his fare share of adrenalin in this one… Second part of the trip is the more beaten path of Valencia, but from the all too smooth pop of Jimmy Lannon to the Günes özdogan featuring, you are in for many surprises. Yes, this is some great, great Magenta offering, all thanks to Josh Roberts talents, also!

Yoan Taillandier / 5 W's!

As to better accompany his new Bordeaux montage, here's another dimension of Yoan's perspective on all things MINUIT, through the prism of our classic treatment-by-the-5 W's!

Bonus time!

Here to a great start of the week, with a little tour of cities that always make you daydream, with quite the selection of locals, each time, thanks to Bordeaux Exposure and the always motivated Julien Januszkiewicz! From Jordan Queijo to Gauthier Rouger, perfect!

Dimanche en avance!

Ah, the day of the week where everybody is ready to go… Not necessarily in the best shape, but free to hit the streets! Ode to that blessed day, where the streets are finally empty, by the Magenta heads –as seen through the eyes of that Josh Roberts guy– to also announce a bunch of fresh stuff, while celebrating the crowded seshs, including all the homies.
