Quentin Boillon

Five on five

Very well placed in the list of Parisian collectives to follow closely, here is the Cinquième Terrasse back with a new video entitled "SINK", filmed by Elliot Bonnabel. In this new opus, they obviously continue to find new ways to use the streets of our beautiful capital. When the spot is huge, they are not shy and when it lacks scale, the originality of their skateboarding complements it perfectly.

The one and only Terrasse

The Cinquième Terrasse is one of the busiest and most active crews in Paris, even if we had not heard enough news lately. That's a smashing comeback with "TONY G" seven minutes of great skateboarding that goes way too fast for my taste. This video shows well that we are coming to a time when making the unique is worth as much, if not more, than doing the perfect. To skate a city in its own way is like showing the peculiarities that we perceive there and to highlight what we like in it. Paris under the gaze of the Cinquième Terrasse is really unique. They give off a crazy energy that is really personal to them. And when it comes to style, if Christian Hosoi validates it, you can imagine that it's not for nothing.

History, waffles and lettres d'amour

"Loveletters to Skateboarding" is the increasingly popular video podcast hosted by Jeff Grosso and his peeps; whilst on the other side of the lens and in the editing room, resides the role of our friends at Six Stair (most notably renowned for their work on the Antihero video "The Body Corporate", but not just that one), and Vans is in charge of the make-up. Recently, the latest episodes of the show have been region-based and it just so happens that France is the subject of the newest one! The guys did very well at conducting a thorough research job and, despite their humble claim to not be trying to make a documentary on the history of French skateboarding altogether per se, the eventual product resembles just that pretty well and features interventions from many an interesting, if not pivotal character in the local culture, as well as vintage, still moving pictures and tales aplenty, as though told on a seven-hour drive from Paris to Marseille, going through Lyon, and then recounted on the way back - in love mail.

Berle Pro / Paris wear test

Young Elijah Berle is now the holder of a pair of Vans sporting his name, which is never a small feat! This was too good of an occasion to not test it out in conditions that match Elijah very own style, with a simple yet efficient mix of street and transition. All of this with a hand from the neighbors at Black Shop.

All to the sweet sounds of Konnichiwa!

More on the Berle Pro, here.

"Entre Deux" / premiere

Two friends, one longing for fresh air, fresh pavement… Leave their hometown of Lyon, but to head where? Over the Alps, at least, to visit their colleague "Pepe"! Turino is not that far, but as exotic as any any other city that is not listed of the obvious skate meccas. And a city, with the right guide, will deliver.

You got the premises, now dive into this Ludovic Azémar short, teased yesterday by Louis Perruchaud's photo gallery, and get inspired to look for that fresh air you crave too.

"Entre Deux" / Louis Perruchaud / Galerie

Tomorrow, we will release "Entre Deux", a short by Ludovic Azémar about the quite dynamic duo that are Quentin Boillon and Mickael Germond. Between their hometown of Lyon and a visit to their friend "Pepe" in Turino… In order to not fall into the video only movement, another buddy, Louis Perruchaud joined in on the fun little adventure…

8 ball!

We barely had time to recover from the seventh episode, that Romain Batard dazzles us with an eighth Giddy. And this time the cast that travels through the streets of Paris is even bigger than as usual. We even have the right to a little touch of romanticism that makes everything so harmonious. Add a rather serious featuring by Steve Malet!

Or where a wet and wintery Napoli doesn't seem to stop the European Levi's crew from shredding it all!

"Gordon Beach Boys" / PREMIERE

As announced and promised yesterday, here is the latest Romain Batard's edit, following the Vans France team in Israel… Which means the spots are not yet burned into your frontal cortex, and also that the crew is not half bad at tackling them in interesting ways… You will also note the undeniable skills of the surprise Canadian guest, the stylish Johnny Purcell! Very much not bad for a Monday, we tell ya!
