Lux Veritas

"LUX VERITAS" is a three-minute VX edit that was assembled by Sami Lababedi, and recently shown at the latest Parisian Roundabout to date - that is, Sergej Vutuc's itinerant, independent skate film festival, that one time as part of PSSFF. About the clip, Sami speaks the truth:

"Well in the first place, those clips were something nobody was doing anything with - they had been just sitting there for a while, on this or that filmer's hard drives.

I thought that was a bit of a shame, and so I suggested to get them and put them all together into one edit of my friends, filmed throughout Paris, Brussels and the South of France." - Sami Lababedi

Antti hero

Lucky should be considered those who can already claim knowing the name of Antti Heikkinen, Finland-based filmmaker under the "ASPHALT JAZZ CLUB" nick and corresponding Vimeo page, and also, himself, a skateboarding magician pairing up intuitive creativity with a discreet profile, notably scheduled as featured in the upcoming "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE 3" but whose approach on the plank you can already witness in other local edits more or less affiliated with Magenta - as he's been spending some time with those guys, at the pace of his personal travels throughout the years.

And so today, Antti strikes back with a new project: "FUN CITY", which you can already follow on Instagram and peep this first video from, here. On the menu: thirteen minutes packed with unique spots and prowess with, amidst plenty of locals on fire, just so happens to include a certain Clément Chouleur! Now, about how this all came about, here's what Antti himself had to say...

Sunk costs

"NOT WASTED" is Thomas Larive's newest montage - you might remember his name as the one of the editor of "LOCAL", the Zeropolis Skateshop video, or maybe from his output for Quotamine. On the menu today: ten minutes of footage collected in between Lille, Paris, Montpellier, Barcelona, Toulouse and Brussels, featuring many a representative of each scene as just as many toppings on quite the hefty meal. Most of them rarely documented, too, including a certain Ibu Sanyang and his style coupled with good taste when it comes to spot selection, but really the credits roll by to quite the generous pace, resulting in variety. All on the basis of leftovers from different projects, or previously unused clips - besides some mandatory Instagram premature unloadings, long after the expiration of their fifteen seconds of fame. Gourmet crumbs right there!

2ND CCD

Jimmy Larkz of Trois CCD, we've introduced you to his works before here and there, both times exquisite stuff and to that rule, "2ND" isn't the exception yet as this new piece consists in no less than fifteen minutes of authentic (and quality) Parisian VX-1000, only waiting for your click to start cuddling your irises. Oh and where to start, regarding the roster involved...

CCD Warriors!

Trois CCD is the brainchild of that one Nozbone employee consisting in boiling hot parisian VX-1000, handled in due form. An initiative to follow as skateboarding-wise, the man is friends with some rippers comprising the likes of Kristian Westh, Pierre Subra, Ambroise Fardel, the ever-so-impeccable Graham Thoms, the ever-so-young Yann Garin, the ever-so-Lucas Languasco Lucas Languasco, the ever-so-present Simon Perrottet, Hugo Corbin, Adrien Chabiron and César Dubroca. The  urban landscape of the City of Lights is utilized to its fullest potential, and so are Jimmy's three see-see-dee's, capturing everything with a dynamism that translates all the way over and into the funny editing. Keep your eyes on them guys!

8 ball!

We barely had time to recover from the seventh episode, that Romain Batard dazzles us with an eighth Giddy. And this time the cast that travels through the streets of Paris is even bigger than as usual. We even have the right to a little touch of romanticism that makes everything so harmonious. Add a rather serious featuring by Steve Malet!

Primavera

The good people of French wheels company Haze just went to Milan! You guessed it, they did spend some quality time at Centrale, as one should, but did way more than that! The locs showed them around their city and they got to handpick a nice selection of rarely seen before spots… Guess what they ended up doing on those!?

Contemporary art

Where the Nozbone team and colleagues go to Charleroi's BPS22 museum in order to enjoy the last hours of the "Paving Space" exhibition of Raphaël Zarka's  work…

Intramuros

The most known Parisian skateshop, for the best reasons, Nozbone continues steady killing it by producing another video, where Ludo Azémar manages to capture the energy of a city, and mainly of a generation… All you ever wanted to see when it comes to skating in Paris, and even more!

Jeunes de maintenant

If you ever wonder what might be happening these days in Paris, young Augustin Giovannoni should be your best bet… Proof here, in moving images, with a nice little postcard resulting from his recent adventures. And, if you want to know more, from now on, you will be able to follow the #liveSBreport!

Giddy #2

Romain Batard is back with a new Giddy episode, at the same time Steve Malet is moving back to Paris. Talk about timing… Oh, and Hugo Maillard goes all the way to Brussels to invent the nosegrind shifty out! Seriously…

Blue-eyed boy

Our very own Augustin celebrates Winter Time with a look back at when the days were way longer in Paris… But no nostalgia, here, just good mood! Well, almost…
