Jo Dezecot

Inside O.U.T.

Arthur Chiron - you might remember his name as the performer of many a demonstration of urban prowess, notably frozen in time in « Frame By Frame », the French classic independent full-length video by Romain Batard, Olivier Fanchon, Greg Dezecot and Aymeric Bertrand from a decade ago - already… Well, Arthur made some wise use of said time span, focusing on his studies as a plastic artist whose interest revolves around one’s personal exploration and interpretation of the physical space, as influenced by Raphaël Zarka, who supports him. Anyway, the latest expression of such reflections just manifested itself, under the name Inside Out: an exhibition of uncommon structures all extracted from one same core then peppered throughout the main hall of Théâtre Le Quai in Angers, France, since last Saturday and up till June; a time period during which space will keep getting explored, as the structures will regularly be flipped over and moved around… Now, let’s salute this remarkable demonstration of cultural avant-gardism from the organizers and sponsors, and celebrate Arthur’s works the way he would really like everyone to: by jamming wallies everywhere at this skatepark that really isn’t one!

Inside O.U.T. will be skatable till June, look it up here, if you want to visit!

More, here:

Parisii / le remix / Group Edit

All right, so Monday is off, and this should put the fire in you: the homies, buddies, friends and bros section from our Parisii remix… Three years of skating around Paris amounts to a rather large group of people joining the sesh. Hell, you can even spot a couple world renown dudes in there, oh and that guy Rémy Taveira. And République getting built! All under the musical supervision of another Parisii head, Vincent Perrin!

DIY DIG / La Cave

If you pronounce the always dreaded DIY acronym in France (it is virtually unpronounceable to most native tonguers), the name of Jo Dezecot will quickly become part of the conversation… Notably for the ten years his Cléré-les-Pins spot lasted! Last year, he decided to take it easy and retreat to the countryside where he could locate his whole family under a safe and quiet roof. Until he realized the house did come with a cave! Guess what happened!? Yep… Here is the second episode of our #vansdiydig series, and what should be a kick in the nuts for all of us, in order to get us started on doing something. What have you planned for the week-end, again?

Thanks again to Vans for their kind support on this project. And if you want to give a hand, you can, here!

Let's put you in the mood for the second episode of our DIY DIG series, starring the soon to be famous Jo Dezecot's cave, by presenting you a GALERIE of photos both documenting (in black and white) the building by Nicolas Boutin, and the very first group session (in color) by Vincent Coupeau. Because, when it comes to doing it yourself, it is as much about the skating than it is about the common effort that takes you there…

Thanks again to Vans for their kind support, on this project.

We were recently having a talk with Romain Batard and Alexis Jamet, well, they are already back, but this time, they brought more or less every single one of their friends, including the ones visiting, like Chris Millic. You already know this is going to be in good hearted fun, while ripping nonetheless, "Rennes style" you could call it! This is close to perfect, actually…

Spring cleaning

Romain Batard empties his hard drive, and gives us a few magic moments by our champion: Hugo Maillard… Merci, Romain!

Still there

Wack MC's had called them finished, but the Brothers gang are back on the mike, and ready to reap your ears out! Well, your eyes… We can only praise Pacôme Gabrillagues for reppin' Live so hard, proof of an undeniable good taste! Oh, yeah, that Hugo Maillard guy still rip, also… Basically, Rennes is still an happening skate town, and everybody should dig it!

Parisii VIII / IX

Our Paris visit continues, this time in the area of the City that most likely stacks the most marble in town, sadly being also under heavy protection, as no one should mess with your Champs Élysées shopping experience! That did not seem to bother the Parisii heads too much! This hi-energy edit should help you reach out for Spring… Parisii is a Live exclusive – kindly supported by Nike SB– and a work in progress, so if you want to contribute a trick or a spot, feel free to join in!

Scene / Tours / as seen by Jo Dezecot

Small talk with the local hyperactive type, to follow up our Scene Tours feature from a couple days ago…

Scene / Tours

Well, here is the newest episode of what isn't quite a series, yet, our Scene feature, this time presenting you Tours, a relatively unknown town somewhat in the center of France, that the geekiest amongst you might associate with Sam Partaix… Watch, and get to know what is going on there, through the lens of Romain Batard, and expect a soon (tomorrow!) to come interview with the local hyperactive type that will tell you more about the place, its inhabitants,

That's our Jo!

Amongst all the skateboard "characters", Jo Dezecot is a good one! In between the impossible spots he chooses to ride, and the ones he builds purposely even more difficult, he likes a beating… With a smile! This should also serve as an introduction to our coming visit to his hometown of Tours.

Parisii XII

Second arrondissement to get explored Parisii style: the XIIth… And it is a busy one, trust us! Another Live exclusive production, featuring Mathias Labelle, Steve Mallet, Guillaume Caraccioli, Jon Monier, Kevin Rodrigues and more!
