Palace runs deep-ish

Eleven minutes of new in-your-face-Palace to start the week (or school year, for some) off with has to taste like unexpected sashimi prepared to Jeff Mills as background music, and peppered with clips of a still stellar Danny Brady (with a tasty nod to Nick Jensen to boot), the unstoppable force Rory Milanes always appears to be and, of course, improvised skateboarding performance by the remarkable and now remarked Heitor Da Silva; that red pants like with the inward heelflip has to be one for the books (or their modern iteration - Instagram reposts). And if such a strong Japanese starter doesn't quite fill you up, then the next course reeks more of the familiar stench of fish and chips meets piss-soaked bricks, notably comprising some pretty captivating footage of Charlie Birch. Almost enough to make us forgive and forget their increasingly tired stabs at Heroin and Mark Foster, lately.

Southbang!

We already knew that Adidas and London work pretty well together. But it turns out that this year our Great Britain’s neighbors have been in great shape. Mostly filmed in Southbank and its surroundings, “vortex” obviously blows our minds, with among others, a good part dedicated to the powerful Darius Trabalza. But especially once the spot has been well returned, Glen Fox arrives as the icing on the cake, fast, technical, bouncing, just to remind us how well he mastered the subject.

Lucas est là!

Once again, Palace takes everybody by surprise, by not dropping the infamous full-length, but a relatively short edit, with mainly two strong points: off course Lucas Puig settles in nicely, by skipping the induction seminar to just moving in the office with the sea view and all… That, and a quasi full part of Danny Brady that will put the younglings in check about why they should have full respect for the man! From Jahmal Smith to Rory Milanes –and let's not forget Lucien Clarke– everybody is in fine form, here, and no when they go to NYC it is not just to open new stores… Let's also note an Olly Todd featuring, shall we?

Mid-City Merge

They here, all here, more or less, including a couple of the new heads, and all go hard in L.A. but in the end, the best part is seeing Busenitz and Lucas battle the same manual spots! Perfect.

Meantime, in London…

With such a casting, in one of the most photogenic city when it comes to skating, one was expecting something amazing… But, dammit!

Heat wave…

Lucas Puig had invited his colleagues to chill by the pool, while waiting to be able to skate again, but they just couldn't restrain themselves from sweating it out in the Toulouse streets… Who could blame them?

Away Days

There is no way you would have missed the  24 hours online premiere, and have had enough time to analize it! Now, Away Days can be found here…

Away Days, soon!

Question: if Tyshawn's hardflip and Miles' back tail are in here, well, what are they sitting on for the actual full-length!??

Mongrel

Now that is a great idea: get two skateshops to collaborate! Sure they are usually more into (not always friendly) competition, but in this case, with about 1200 kilometers separating Beast & Arrow and FTC, nothing to worry about on that side… And the end result is topnotch with a punchy edit filmed on Catalonian land, and a sweet mix of styles and point of view on the streets… Hopefully, an idea to inspire more?

Adidas / NYC to Miami / Galerie

You definitely digged the edit a few days ago, well, here are the photos from the sessions behind it… Click and land in NYC, then MIami with Tyshawn and the Adidas heads!

Chewy Cannon & Benny Fairfax

Better late than never, you won't be disappointed.

Style Cup

If one day, there should be a World Cup of "Street Style in the Streets", Mark Gonzales would be –for obvious reasons– no qualifiable, but that Rodrigo Teixeira dude could steal the (fire hydrant shaped?) trophy, just for this "cruising" footage here… Seriously!
