Louison Bobet Forever

The new video production courtesy of Louise Skateboards consists in no less than ten minutes of creative urban skate creative magic all assembled together via elbow grease and helium by Stéphane Feugas, high wire filmer extraordinaire who didn't fall asleep at the wheel of the editing either, as the final product is as meticulously crafted as the most suspect of devices. The devil went down to Bordeaux and Montpellier for the most part, Vincent Dallemagne technically wins the race but each and every of the numerous participants owns their individual merits. The general universe is as captivating as it is delirium tremens-inducing and should put a face on most faces or at the very least, get them out of the house!

Aka. Ser Superstar

Sergio Cadaré, without a doubt this planet's biggest ever Slick Rick fan, when not busy tattooing, officializes his stay on the DC Shoes team roster with an eponymous clip where his impeccable technique and west coast-influenced style really shine. But his two minutes of footage only are the introduction to what then turns out to be a full-fledged Bordeaux edit featuring a plethora of other faces, from Léo Valls to Benjamin Garcia, Nick Dias and even Tom Penny with a surprise appearance. Drew filmed it all, the titles are by Emilien Bonnet, the music notably by Simon Algéo and everything is dedicated to the memory of Adrien "Canardo" Blanc.

Bordeaux Exposure 3

After some recent, heavy teasing, there it is: the brand new, third installment in the "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE" series by Julien Januszkiewicz (whose works and character LIVE has been following since the inception of the series!), finally online in full for you to get to take a gander. Please expect no less than twenty five-minutes of urban skateboarding around Bordeaux, France, but not just that - as Julien also went to film a copious number of talented stylers' peregrinations through the streets of Paris, Milan, Geneva, Montpellier and Lyon. If the bite hits just the right spot, then you can always order the corresponding DVD from Palomino, for instance - or take a look at the soft goods and digital download combos Julien is offering on his website, as a way to thank him!

Oh and yeah - the second video is still up in full here for a revisit, or any need of catching up.

Château Magenta

The knights of French skateboarding over at Magenta just brought down their drawbridge into this year twenty twenty one A.D. with "LES CHÂTELAINS": close to ten minutes of Bordeaux street sled action on whatever might or might not look like a spot, performed by quite the herd of proud locals. Now, as far as production is concerned, we're talking exceptional colors for the aforementioned coat of arms as the format used this time is H.D. 4:3 - quite the unexpected battlefield, yet still one easily conquered by Andrea Dupré, the camera officer here - in between instances of his personal output and of ritual dubbing at local skateshop Sirop d'Erable. On the program: one section each, respectively, for seneschals Vivien Feil and Léo Valls forming quite the relentless joust against the cobblestones of Southwest France, punctuated by strategic appearances by key squires along the likes of Sergio Cadaré, Julien Januskiewicz, Emilien Bonnet, Kenny Adoua and Léo Spartacus - whilst one particular flatground pressure flip in front of Edmond Burger can already be heard around the world resonating as the next Pandaymic, we're telling ya!

Bordeaux Exposure 3 trailer

LIVE has been sharing Julien Janusckiewicz's skate works since the very first "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE" back in 2013; in the meantime, the series has gotten itself a second chapter, a handful of one-offs such as "LEO AND SERGIO" or "SWISS EXPOSURE" and is now just about to take its next step, due next spring, as "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE 3" has been boiling in the pot for long enough to juice out this trailer. So, on the menu: mostly Bordeaux, but also a few grams of Paris, Milan, Geneva, Montpellier and Lyon for good measure, all repped by their respective locals. Talk about an appetizer!

Please feel free to explore Julien's Vimeo here and as far as words are concerned, you can also dive back into this vintage interview regarding the original installment in the series, to get familiar (again)!

Very Nice

The new installment in Rémi Luciani aka. Marseille Zoo's web saga "N(i)CE THE SHORT CUT" is online, and consists in five minutes of street skating from Southern France, masterfully captured via the good ol' VX-1000 per usual, performed by quite the handful of too-rarely-seen names and then orchestrated to a song by The Smiths. Amongst the aforementioned names, one can spot Ben Botta whose talents Rémi has already showcased here, or Sergio Cadaré who, in the span of one line, gets us to reminisce about "MONSTRO DE RUA" for a moment. Nice one!

Filming Crazy

LIVE has brought up Markus Bengtsson's video productions before - some might remember him as the Poetic Collective filmer - and several times, too; in addition to being prolific on the YouTubes, he's also the one responsible for handicrafting this new montage for Film Trucks (Jérémie Daclin's brainchild), and for actually showcasing it today on the sextuple V via TransWorld SKATEboarding and Solo Skate Mag.

Poetic Collective owner Tom Botwid's spins on ledge dancing most likely will make you dizzy, as the front truck specialist nails his into the coffin of many a bench spot all the way from his Scandinavian hometurf to the South of France; locked in around the cities of Bordeaux and Lyon, more specifically.

But just as Instagram is about to declare him the King of Gradignan, Léo Valls intercepts the other half of the timeline, only to remind us of his marble-rooted interpretative skills, of how Magenta are the people in charge here and of his nollie shifty flip, one we had been missing at least as much as the Bordeaux O.G.'s have been mourning the legendary Malraux spot ever since its demise.

This being said, let it be LIVE's turn to remind you of this documentary DC Shoes produced on Léo's political actions in Bordeaux, as to better appreciate the context of relative harmony on the spots compared to how bad things could get, say, just a few years back...

Regarding the filming, Markus recounts...

Storia Italiana

Ten new minutes of Magenta-tinted goodness via the master VX-1000 skills of the craft's Michaelangelo: Zach Chamberlin, are nothing to turn down. And in this case, we're talking footage of most of the crew's holidays in Milan, Italy (making for the perfect transition with René Olivo's brand new documentary on the local scene), a city that's essentially become their secondary residency after many a stay there this year - in between random vagrancies to destinations such as Naples or Rome.

This video drops marks the simultaneous one of the brand's new seasonal collection, but also the official inclusion of Milanese youngster Ruben Spelta to its roster; an occasion for which Paris seemed to be on his radar a lot - you'll see! A full recap of those fun times punctuated by photos snapped by the whole crew on disposable cameras can be found on the Magenta website, here !

D.J. Dub's tip : "Pas de problème"...

The former freelancer for SuGaR back when the magazine was still reviewing records (reviewing what?) is back, and once again naively thought he'd be the one to let us know on the recent online drop of this new edit by Makke Bengtsson, most notably the immaculate filmer for the just-as-immaculate Swedish Poetic Collective. On the menu: his friends' holidays in Copenhagen, including - amongst a list of others - the unextinguishable Léo Valls as well as Le Rollersurfer, aka. Ben Koppl...

Street monsters!

"Monstro De Rua" is the title of Rémi Luciani aka. Marseille Zoo's latest web edit - you may remember the author from the eponymous video series or, more recently, from "NCE" or perhaps this mixtape of Northern France OG, Hervé Coneim. Well this time, the devil came down to Bordeaux, and it's the shock duo of local Leo Valls with the visiting Brazilian Sergio Santoro that stole the show during the couple of sunny days the filming process lasted. As expected from the pair, the resulting clips are pure street freestyle, occasionally punctuated by solid interventions from Vivien Feil, Sergio Cadaré (the comeback!) and Arthur Giat.

Marble Exposure!

"Leo And Sergio" - one, two, what is this? Nothing but the new production from the man behind "Bordeaux Exposure" 1 and 2: Julien Januszkiewicz, who jumped on the opportunity to gather two iconic Bordeaux heads: Leo Valls (who no longer needs an introduction) and local O.G. Sergio Cadaré, who strongly inspired and influenced Leo as a kid and used to rep his city to the max in the previous decade. After an extended stay in California, Sergio is back to claim all the new bench spots Bordeaux now has to offer, all the while sharing nothing but good vibes with Leo - himself no stranger to ledge tech. The resulting piece is one explosive mix that's bound to catch you off guard!
