Takahiro Morita History Month

Here is a little catching up course on Japanese skateboarding, through a résumé of Mister Morita latest twenty seven years… Well, yes, you do not become the guru of the movement that came from the Country of the Rising Sun overnight! The most fascinating here is seeing him mature with time to the reach the mastership he is known for nowadays… You can also retrace the family tree of many recent trends.

Peek-A-Boo

This should get you hyped for the Chronicles Volume 3 premiere, and stands as a friendly reminder to the fact that everything can be a spot… Then again, when you are Cory Kennedy, it might come easier!

Carroll alert!

Wait, so all there is to do is ship Mike to Germany so he gets the spark again!? Let's note a particularly on point Tyler Bledsoe, and as for Lucas and Ishod, well, what to say, what to say!?

Question

In how many activities, in the large sense of it, two people with a difference of age like Russo and Grosso might have, could spend this kind of day, in all sincerity? Not that many. And that's beautiful thing!

Mountain climbing

Over a certain altitude, you do need to restrain your movements, don't you?

Sal's back!

Kids, beware! You might not get it all, but this is the reason you should be seeing "used to" skaters asking for the éS shoes rack at your shop real soon! Sal Barbier was a street skating innovator, well beyond the tricks… Do your homeworks! Oh, that Kelly Hart trick, though…

Truth hurts

Last Friday, our friends at Vladimir Film Festival were premiering the latest Original Copy project, and here it is finally online for us all to watch! And it would have been a shame to not get a chance to witness this singular yet talented point of view… This time, the Original Copy duo focuses on one character named Deso, that seems to embody skateboarding in all its rawness. And the man (it's not a kid, kids…) is portrayed in all its great beauty, with no embellishment, yet absolute truth. You will not be bored one second, yet will have things to ponder after watching it. One being that all this is aiming from Slovenia…

Deuxième vague!

All Paris, and De Paris in four edits from local film makers, with a bunch of interludes, and the follow-up to Jeux d'Ombres already presented on Live? Can't say no!

Lost Into The Wild / PREMIERE

Sure, adventure can –and usually will– be found at the end of one's street, but once in a while it is necessary to go seek a bit further, to get some fresh air… And that kick of oxygen, they sure got it, Bastien Marlin, Florian Cordier, Thomas Régnier and Jérémi Stadler, deep in the Eastern Pyrenees! Far from the cities, but still looking at it all with their skater eye… They sure found some spots, and the unconventional ones at that, but they also got the guts, to not say more, to tackle them! This one could get you antsy for some country time? A Live exclusive, for the day, enjoy!

Lost Into The Wild / Galerie

Tomorrow, we will premiere Lost Into The Wild, a Jérémi Stadler video, documenting a little trip through the Eastern Pyrenees, with Bastien Marlin, Florian Cordier, Thomas Régnier and Loïc Benoit behind his camera. In order to get you stoked on the pretty special spots they found, here are his pictures! Get ready for some eye candy…

Staying flared: Pittsburgh

Just for the crazy bowl in the basement, this would be a good watch, but they also put up a decent demo, don't they!?

Tour de France?

If American skaters seem to be prone to a vintage Harley road trip at the drop of a dime, it looks like in Europe the trusted bicycle still is the local prime choice… Then again, to enjoy the sightseeing and spot possible terrain on the side of the road the slower pace makes sense! Proof here with that trip the À Propos crew just started with a couple amateur cyclists… Now let's hope they will only rehydrate with cold beers and avoid the "clear water" that is popular amongst the Tour de France professionals!
