The new video production courtesy of Louise Skateboards consists in no less than ten minutes of creative urban skate creative magic all assembled together via elbow grease and helium by Stéphane Feugas, high wire filmer extraordinaire who didn't fall asleep at the wheel of the editing either, as the final product is as meticulously crafted as the most suspect of devices. The devil went down to Bordeaux and Montpellier for the most part, Vincent Dallemagne technically wins the race but each and every of the numerous participants owns their individual merits. The general universe is as captivating as it is delirium tremens-inducing and should put a face on most faces or at the very least, get them out of the house!
After some recent, heavy teasing, there it is: the brand new, third installment in the "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE" series by Julien Januszkiewicz (whose works and character LIVE has been following since the inception of the series!), finally online in full for you to get to take a gander. Please expect no less than twenty five-minutes of urban skateboarding around Bordeaux, France, but not just that - as Julien also went to film a copious number of talented stylers' peregrinations through the streets of Paris, Milan, Geneva, Montpellier and Lyon. If the bite hits just the right spot, then you can always order the corresponding DVD from Palomino, for instance - or take a look at the soft goods and digital download combos Julien is offering on his website, as a way to thank him!

A couple universes away from the next Olympics, there it is: Milanese magician Ruben Spelta just earned himself the medal of professionalism via Magenta, and "IL FANTASISTA" is the title of the seven-minute clip officially testifying of said newly-acquired honorific title. Just like last time, behind the camera can be found normally Bordeaux-based Andréa Dupré at operating duties and, as far as subjects, we of course get our fair share of Ruben skating; but also Soy and Vivien who opted to join in and around Milan, obviously well over the abuses and excesses from the New World Order and in need for escapism. And so some beautiful kickflips and choreographed lines did go down in the city those times, also to the beat of many other locals' pushes. This should inspire you to go out and skate too, and also to add cultivating the ideal of suave feet to the list of your personal ambitions.
The knights of French skateboarding over at Magenta just brought down their drawbridge into this year twenty twenty one A.D. with "LES CHÂTELAINS": close to ten minutes of Bordeaux street sled action on whatever might or might not look like a spot, performed by quite the herd of proud locals. Now, as far as production is concerned, we're talking exceptional colors for the aforementioned coat of arms as the format used this time is H.D. 4:3 - quite the unexpected battlefield, yet still one easily conquered by Andrea Dupré, the camera officer here - in between instances of his personal output and of ritual dubbing at local skateshop Sirop d'Erable. On the program: one section each, respectively, for seneschals Vivien Feil and Léo Valls forming quite the relentless joust against the cobblestones of Southwest France, punctuated by strategic appearances by key squires along the likes of Sergio Cadaré, Julien Januskiewicz, Emilien Bonnet, Kenny Adoua and Léo Spartacus - whilst one particular flatground pressure flip in front of Edmond Burger can already be heard around the world resonating as the next Pandaymic, we're telling ya!
LIVE has been sharing Julien Janusckiewicz's skate works since the very first "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE" back in 2013; in the meantime, the series has gotten itself a second chapter, a handful of one-offs such as "LEO AND SERGIO" or "SWISS EXPOSURE" and is now just about to take its next step, due next spring, as "BORDEAUX EXPOSURE 3" has been boiling in the pot for long enough to juice out this trailer. So, on the menu: mostly Bordeaux, but also a few grams of Paris, Milan, Geneva, Montpellier and Lyon for good measure, all repped by their respective locals. Talk about an appetizer!

At the dawn of fall twenty twenty, the Magenta Skateboards epos keeps celebrating its tenth year of existence by honoring, in particular, its Parisian origins and this is exactly where this "BOULEVARD" stands, as a four-minute edit of VX-1000 footage collected by Quentin Delebecque (whose works we've recently presented to you here) and Romain Batard throughout the intertwined threads of both the streets of the French capital and last summer. On the menu: lotso' Soy clips (complete with his "STATIC III" footwear game), plenty more from Shogo Zama who apparently didn't struggle with adapting to the local terrain, and the heavy return of Masaki Ui's trademark violence and that's alongside cousins Alexis Jamet, Julien Oye, Emilien Bonnet, Antoine Jouguet and the whole extended family. All punctuated by a handful of Ruben Spelta featurings, some fancy two-wheel-driving courtesy of Olivier Ente, and Vivien and Glen's vacation footage!
With the year twenty twenty comes, amongst many other complete revolutions, the tenth anniversary of France's top plank (and general qualitative artefact) purveyors: Magenta Skateboards, and of their progressive - under every sense of the term - contribution to skateboarding's ever-so-new world order, like a happenstance cultural coup d'état that would have taken the whole past decade by storm. Still the brainchild of Paris-based artist Soy Panday and of brotherly duo Vivien and Jean Feil, Magenta just marked the occasion by appropriately dropping an anniversary-themed capsule (first come, first serve), and also by catching up with Sylvain Robineau again for the span of this short film: "STILL IN BUSINESS", featuring a cast of family members. You might remember Sylvain's works: "WHICH IS TO BE THE MASTER?" and "PARISIEN", amongst many other personal pieces one can retrace the existence of on Dailymotion, for instance.
Also on the menu, and the cake atop of the cherry: this "10 YEARS MIXTAPE" consisting in, well, a sugar-filled recap of the brand's video offering ever since its inception, cooked by Manolo's Tapes, complemented by an exclusive article on the Magenta website here, and even by a brand new Soy Panday interview by Matt Broadley for Parade World, here - all as to better get you ready for the next decade to come!
With the imminent approach of this new season comes Swedish ledge wizard and longtime ambassador of the three stripes Günes Özdogan's turn to duly earn his first pro model on Magenta Skateboards. A knighting celebrated as expected with the complementary digital drop of 'BENIM', a new clip in which Günes once again doesn't fail to demonstrate his trademark complete indifference when it comes to his own supposed stance, or the optimal flip trick to lock into given positions onto whichever object. Jasper Lindgren mostly filmed and edited, although one can find Makke Bengtsson in the list of guest filmers and, as far as guest skaters are concerned, well... Let's say the roster should keep you entertained - and that's till the tech eventually reaches its paramount!
The greatest news of today have to be this fresh upload of Vivien Feil, Soy Panday and Léo Valls' shared segment from the Magenta Skateboards 2013 full-length video: "SOLEIL LEVANT", a direct tribute to the Japanese skate scene and its specific approach to the activity, and an interpretation of space and the universe altogether that contrasts so much with our western fashions.
About just that, Monsieur Vivien even went in depth with a legit article, here - also an opportunity to reminisce about the origins of the brand's connections with the Far East, run into new video links and read anecdotes.

Twenty twenty as a year already marks one decade of existence for Magenta Skateboards, an original initiative by the Feil brotherhood (Jean and Vivien) and Soy Panday; now, as though to celebrate this anniversary, they're inviting Japanese style master Shogo Zama onto the team. The video announcement, entirely composed in Paris, is the work of Romain Batard, and Vivien, Soy, Glen Fox as well as Ruben Spelta also pay their dues, dotting the timeline with remarkable appearances.
As bonus - and in our best attempt at not letting this one slip through the cracks in spite of the currently merciless pace of video releases - here is the new full-length video "VESTIGES" by Eric Mertz (the independent filmmaker behind "PORTALS" LIVE interviewed a while back here), a Strasbourg-based production in which Soy and Vivien, amongst many others, can be spotted performing more magic tricks amidst a twenty-minute-long, artfully crafted universe.
Ten new minutes of Magenta-tinted goodness via the master VX-1000 skills of the craft's Michaelangelo: Zach Chamberlin, are nothing to turn down. And in this case, we're talking footage of most of the crew's holidays in Milan, Italy (making for the perfect transition with René Olivo's brand new documentary on the local scene), a city that's essentially become their secondary residency after many a stay there this year - in between random vagrancies to destinations such as Naples or Rome.
This video drops marks the simultaneous one of the brand's new seasonal collection, but also the official inclusion of Milanese youngster Ruben Spelta to its roster; an occasion for which Paris seemed to be on his radar a lot - you'll see! Now, the name of Dom Diaz might be unknown to a lot of you as the man himself is still young and also operating from Guadalajara in Mexico - another country the skate scene of which comes with its lots of criminally underrepresented local talents, on the worldwide radar. A longtime big VX-1000 and film enthusiast, Dom has released a few web edits before under the alias Zimm Skateboarding and now, "VIDEOSTILL" is the title of his new full-length video, four years in the making. The whole film is the subject of today's premiere and, to celebrate, we caught up with the author for some public chit chat.
