Joseph Biais

Tav' alert!

So, the actual idea that Remy Taveira might fucking talented on a skateboard comes as no scoop, that's for sure… But this Guillaume Perimony project for Carhartt WIP raises the bar quite high in the "Great part form Remy" category! And, for this one he's got a supporting cast that adds up seriously, as nobody seems into staying in the shadows. Let's notably note the Classiest Australian in the World, Josh Pall. Yep, this is very sick and perfect to kick off the week-end!

Encoded

A new Öctagon superproduction? Count us –and you– in, as you know you are up for a general vibe that is completely different from anything out there, plus the kind of raw skating we all dig… And in order to introduce their collab with Vans, here, they don't mess around, neither on the script, not the content, as you might be surprised a couple times, here. Let's not spoil anything, but Joseph Biais wall ride variation deep in the La Défense labyrinth will stay in memory bases for a minute or two!

Contemporary art

Where the Nozbone team and colleagues go to Charleroi's BPS22 museum in order to enjoy the last hours of the "Paving Space" exhibition of Raphaël Zarka's  work…

Parisian cuisine

Autumn has reached us, but so far, so good… Then again, we have Augustin keeping an eye on it all!

"Capitale"

Another cruising edit through the streets of Paris, one might argue, but with Val Bauer and Joseph Biais on board, you know you are in for the skating you and we dig, all captured on 16mm, in a beautiful black and white by Thibaut Grevet.

Intramuros

The most known Parisian skateshop, for the best reasonsNozbone continues steady killing it by producing another video, where Ludo Azémar manages to capture the energy of a city, and mainly of a generation… All you ever wanted to see when it comes to skating in Paris, and even more!

The alpha and the omega…

Once again, the Öctagon heads demonstrate how strong minded they are, by following their original concept with a persistence one can only salute, just as well as all the talents involved. Not much more to add, apart maybe that from the skating to the editing, everything here is about impeccable, and even more!

Giddy-oh!

Always a laugh, always different faces… Skating captured between Paris, Rennes, New York City and Barcelona that will make you ring your homies!

Savate "Trompe Le Monde"

An ode to celebrate that unknown spot at the very deep end of the industrial area of the suburb of that lost village? Off, this is what Savate is all about! Those guys know that spots are where you go look for them, they do… This should plant the seed that will make you plan out a summer trip with your friends. That's their goal, at least.

Points of view

Now that should allow for a great Sunday start: two ways to look at one project: the exploration by Mauro Caruso of a quasi ghost town of Sicily, that seems more of a strange artistico-architectural project than a place to live, after an earthquake in 1968. Some (warm) fresh air through the lens of Ludo Azemar first, then as compiled by Mauro himself. A Mauro that keeps it tech and flawless on the worst surfaces possible, helped by a Felipe Bartolomé that seem to surprise us every time, whatever the spot might be!

Under the paving…

French artist Raphael Zarka and the Carhartt team explore together options and limitations (or not) space has to offer, through a series of his sculptures… A conversation where each feeds from one another, to go through the labyrinth of possibilities…

The Magic Number

The classic spots, the other ones hidden in back alleys, the old timers, the fresh faces, the locs and the tourists: they all here! Paris, Berlin and London are three cities more than rich in character, and this is what the De Paris Yearbook crew has been pushing on us for a couple years now, and their latest video production is in the direct logic of this editorial line. But, let's not forget that De Paris, Aus Berlin and Of London are –before all– books you will be more than happy to find on your shelves in a few years!
